First Aid Courses

All courses are delivered in a relaxed atmosphere and a designed to be enjoyable and not a chore! Emergency First Response courses are conducted in the following manner:

1) A course handbook is provided prior to the start of the course (which the candidate gets to keep). A knowledge review is undertaken at the end of the first section of the book. This section of the course may alternatively be presented by your instructor using Powerpoint slides.

2) On the course day, your instructor will go through the knowledge development excercises with you, or present the material using powerpoint slides, and go step by step through a DVD course developing knowledge all the time. At this time, you will start to practice certain techniques.

3) The latter part of the course focusses on using the skills and techniques learned in simulated incident scenarios. This is a fun element of the course which aims to challenge you!

4) Finally, there's the exam. Don't worry though - we've never had anyone fail it yet. It's a short test designed to see if there are any parts of the course that need to be covered again in more detail.

On completion of the course, you instructor will go through the certification process with you and within a couple of weeks or so you will be in posession of your certification documentation.
